How we would apply this learning is for the wiring of houses and other electric things. It is important to use a thicker wire in housing and buildings because it allows electrons to flow faster from the source to the resistor. Copper is a better conductor of electricity than aluminum because the bulb on the copper 18 gauge wire was brighter than the aluminum 14 gauge. This means that in a house or building you should use as thick of a copper wire that you can get which will make the most energy flow through to the light. This happened because copper is a better conductor than aluminum. This will help us for many different projects in the future. I learned that aluminum is cheaper than copper and that is why some people choose it for wires. However, copper is the better choice for a conductor.
